From a young age, she drew inspiration from the many museums she visited. She considers herself an artist of various mediums, such as painting, photography, writing, textiles and fiber arts, videography and dance. Julia studied dance, mainly classical ballet, for over a decade. Being able to not only experience but also observe the ways the human body can bend, stretch and twist to its extremes allows her to learn how clothes should be made in order to accommodate such movements. She creates clean, pure and minimal looks which focus on silhouette, cut and form in order to sculpt and move with the body. Julia graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in the History of Art.
